Since I know Chuckistans are rolling, I’ll throw this out there, but I’m not tagging it Chair because it’s also directed at my fellow lovely Dairlings who are still a little emotional right now…***HUGS***

…sorry, I just threw up a little while typing that….anyway…instead of focusing on that crap, or the obvious mislead about Dan sleeping with Serena (Yuck!!!) we should really ask ourselves this….

Do we think that the writers would use Dan to prop up Chair? If anyone does then that’s a real shame:

1. Dan Humphrey is not a guest star, he’s a main character…always has been, no matter how others might try to think differently **side eye to Chuckistans** 

2. Serena and Blair’s friendship has always been the mainstay of the show and the writers are just gonna make them fall in love with the same guy (yes, Blair does love Dan…deal with it. Just because she hasn’t said it doesn’t mean she doesn’t mean it, unless you also believed that Chuck didn’t love Blair in season 2 because he couldn’t say it either) and potentially completely ruin their friendship…for a fling

3. Also, instead of focusing on all the issues they’ve been dealing with, we should also focus on the fact that they’ve thrown so MANY things at them in such a short period time…come on people - classic misdirect.

To the Chairios…humble yourselves, it ain’t over till it’s over and I’m pretty sure you all know that, hence the incessant trolling

I’ve been trying to sum up the “EPICNESS” of Chair and I found this quote from “Juliette” at the TV fanatic forum…I think this says everything I wanted to say.

“Oh come on …You can say Dan is/was a little naive, a little more on the ‘moral’ side…and maybe a little child-like when he was interacting with his doll Cedric…You can also say he was a devoted friend, a good father to Milo (even though he wasn’t his child) and a guy who always let people have ‘one more chances to proove they are …not that bad’ But you cannot say Dan is horrible. Just perfect really. Again, I love Chuck and I love Blair but Chuck and Blair = TOXIC ASS MESS!

how people can hate Dan Humphrey…it really puzzles me.

Listen, I know that the show is about the “scandalous lives of manhattan’s elite” but c’mon…Dan is not some recurring guest star. He’s been one of the mains since day one. He’s billed higher than Chuck and Nate and in fact was more of a feature from the very first episode than any of those other two guys were.

This hatred of him, his father, Vanessa, Jenny just because they don’t live on the UES is really ridiculous because they’re part of the show and always have been. People act like he suddenly came along to mess things up but his story was part of GG from the very beginning so I just don’t understand.

Add to that this thought that he’s too judgmental…they’re all judgmental. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Blair judged him because of where he came from, come to think of it so did Chuck. Maybe not Nate and Serena about where he was from, but they have all been judgmental, not just him.

For all of those people saying that Dan should go to Rome so that he can find himself “and learn how to world works” LOL. I agree, he should go to Rome, because it will be an amazing experience and in the end, if he’s meant to be with Blair then he will be. But I certainly don’t agree with him going because he needs to learn how the world works. Since Dan has been a part of the UES for some time now while still maintaining his BK roots, i’d say he has a pretty good idea of how the world works - its the UES who don’t have a clue. And that’s really what the problem here is, isn’t it. Whenever someone doesn’t do what should be done according to UES standards then he/she is less than, dirt, slummy, judgmental, etc.

When the UES does it = perfect

When Dan does it = judgmental

Dan Humphrey may not be perfect but after having dated my share of Chuck Bass types in the past…he’s a much better catch.

Oh, and I absolutely LOVE Chuck Bass…true story, I love all of the NJBC in all of their f’ed up glory. But Chuck should’ve remained true to who he really is - a slimy, whorish, evil basstard…they tried to make him into some kind of epic romantic hero - bad guy turned good, which was an epic fail, because he’s the evil dick. Nathan Scott he is not…

Just my 2 cents

I’m a DAIR fan; however, I can openly and freely admit that chuck and blair do have amazing chemistry together…sexually/physcially. I don’t think anyone can deny that.

But…so what? That’s not all there is to a relationship. I’m fairly new to this site…I’ve been lurking since the whiff Dan and Blair first emerged because I didn’t want to get too involved in the shipping war…my last experience was Dawson’s Creek - of course, that really wasn’t much of a war because Dawson and Joey…ahmmm…no! It was Pacey all the way!!!

Anyway, I first started watching gossip girl in season two because a friend of mine told me about it and I decided to check it out and wow…chuck and blair had me captivated from the get go and then I fell in love with Dan and Serena. However, I stopped avidly watching at the end of season 3, only tuning in occasionally to see what was going on…it was dan and blair that got me back into it and who now have my fangirling like I’m 14!

Do I think they are endgame? I honestly don’t know. Do I think they should be, absolutely. Chemistry is a very subjective thing and though there are some who don’t believe they have any (what they mean is that it’s not the same as chuck ans blair’s) then that’s their opinion.

Of course it’s not the same as chair’s…they’re not chair they’re DAIR and they’re chesmistry is totally different…as it should be.

To all of those people (Chair fans) who believe dan and blair are so boring, they should go re-watch the episodes when chuck and blair were actually in a relationship together…watching paint dry was more exciting, hence why I tuned out. Have they had steamy sex scenes…of course - when they weren’t together or when they were scheming.

As for the most recent episode - it sucks for dan but it’s not the end of the world and by no means the end of DAIR. Relationships take time to grow and find their footing and I don’t believe that anything we saw in Monday’s episode should make us abandon ship.

Chair fans believe that Blair is so in love with chuck and you know what? I don’t doubt that she still has feelings for him, how could she not. However, that does not mean that she doesn’t have feelings for dan…I didn’t tell my husband I loved him the first time he said it me either ;) but you can bet that I do know.

After all…when she found out that chuck’s father was alive and well what did she do - stay ad with and go back into the house to console him all night…no, she went home to her boyfriend Dan…in Brooklyn.

So he held her hand - WOW!!! I could really feel the sparks coming off them…not. But you gotta give the chair fans a break, they’re reaching for something to hold on to and I don’t blame them. Do I think that Blair will be there for him, sure, afterall that are friends…kind of.

Let’s just see how it plays out and Keep Calm and Carry On.
