…and how refreshing it is to see that Chairtards are still retards…almost three months after the fact. I’d be upset if it wasnt’ just so damn funny y’all.

Stay bitter Chairtards…no amount of criticizing Dair and posting crap in the Dair tag will ever make up for the fact that your ship was craptastic. Don’t kid yourselves, that urge you have to still post in the Dair tag? It’s called being unfulfilled, despite the fact that they ended up married with a kid.

Just had a convo with one of my friends who’s a Chair shipper…she and I are always at odds - she actually wanted Joey/Dawson. Anyway, we were talking about Dawson’s Creek and she commented that she could finally see what I loved about Joey/Pacey and that she wasn’t willing to do so before because she just wanted Joey/Dawson together.

Then…she said what I’ve been waiting for her to say…she “kinda” understands why Dan/Blair got together and even though she’s thrilled that Chair was endgame, she can grudgingly concede that after Dair got together…they probably should’ve stayed together because they were cute together and she didn’t like that they had to make Dan so douchey and Blair somean to make Chair work (she actually likes dan)…she also said it would have been nice if Dair had remianed friends…I was never more proud of her.

I told her that’s all I wanted her to say…that she understood the Dair dynamic. I think that alot of Chair shippers simply hated Dair on spec and never gave it a chance. They bitched and moaned and whined and never really watched the beauty  that was Dair. As someone who used to like Chair, I can safely say I stopped liking them because they became GROSS…but at least I gave them a chance.

That’s all I’m saying…respect DAIR!!!

I don’t want a DC reunion…let’s leave it as it is. A reunion gives them an opportunity to mess up Pacey/Joey - look what they did in the new 90210.

I really just can’t stop laughing at you Chairtards. It’s been over a month and I am blissfully enjoying Dair. Yet y’all can’t seem to let it go.

You claim that no one wanted Dair but that’s not the case - the fact that Dair v. Chair ended up being the biggest ship war of GG proves that ALOT of people wanted Dair. Even today, I’m seeing more and more people coming out in support of Dair.

Unfortunately we Dair fans were not successful, but that doesn’t mean that they weren’t great, they were - too great for this show.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, just because Chair ended up together does not mean that they were the better ship…it just means that the writers are just as warped and crazy as you Chairstans and apparently totally incapable of recognizing a good relationship. The fact that you all seem to still be so obessessed with Dair also proves my point…if Dair was nothing, it wouldn’t matter to you so much. I don’t see you hating on Louis or Nate like that.

Stay pressed though…it’s entertaining as hell!!!

Thank you JJ Abrams and Joel Wyman for reminding me that there are executive producers out there who actually care about and appreciate their viewers that have kept them around for so long and who show that appreciation with a true love letter to the fans…all of the fans, no matter how painful it is at time.

Also, thank you FOX for allowing Fringe to go out on its own terms in such a beautiful, memorable way…I certainly will miss it and will be anxiously awaiting all the release of the full box set.

Meanwhile…GG…I’m still experimenting with various drug cocktails to erase you from my mind…I wonder if I can get Rebekah (TVD) to compel away my memories…

I don’t need to see Dan and Blair as endgame to know that they were the perfect couple of GG. I KNOW that they were because I have a brain, eyes and an appreciation for healthy relationships…that is all.

So Emily Owens, MD is being cancelled…oh hell no CW…hell no.

I had to suffer through six seasons of GG, though it should’ve been cancelled long ago, too many seasons of Smallville, the OC OTH sucked by the end, 90210…why is that even still on, Hart of Dixie got a second season and let’s not even with this new wannabe Carrie Bradshaw…as if (yes I watched…no I didn’t think it was great and considering it’s Fake Empire, it can only get worse). With all of the crap you’ve allowed over the years, Emily Owens gets cancelled…even before the season ends?

What is it about the show that offends you CW - the great cast, the good storylines? What?!?

CW - do you like your network being at the bottom of the pile…you’re supposed to strive for the best and be okay with ending up second best. This striving for mediocrity (bottom of the pile) is embarrassing.

I see all these negative and nasty comments from people on Twitter (all with some version of Chair or Chuck Bass as their user names) about Penn playing Jeff Buckley. By all accounts, the reviews for his performance have been great and people have been really impressed.

Newsflash…Penn =/= Dan Humphrey so I think you people hating Penn need to learn the difference between fiction and reality and oh yeah…grow the eff up.

How are we feeling Dairlings? I’m actually doing pretty good. I’ve stepped away from the tag and all things GG for awhile but now that I’m back I’m feeling pretty good and ready to celebrate the beauty that was Dair.

Seeing Safran’s recent comments about who GG turned out to be was interesting. I agree that Dan was probably the best character to be GG but based on how they wrote the first five seasons…it makes no sense whatsoever.

So…there’s that and I’m rejecting it. I’m not being delusional but since GG requires us on a regular basis to suspend disbelief (see season 6) I’m going to employ a little of that now. 

As for the endgames…can someone tell me why there is still so much venom on this tag from Chuckistans? It’s been three weeks and still they’re seeking validation. Could it be that they’ve finally taken off their Chair-colored glasses and viewed that relationship the way the rest of the (sensible) world does…as a horrible, horrible mess never ever to be confused with true love? Could it be? Or maybe in light of all of the media criticism and the fact that not one legitimate source found Chair to be the definition of “epic love” they realize that they’ve been backing the wrong couple? Maybe? 

Whatever…I got jokes for days but I’m cool because I know what I know…Dair was the best thing to come out of this crapfest and the fact that such crappy writers decided to kill them off is just proof of that - true story and I’ll believe that to my dying days.

It was a tough year for us and though we “lost” ultimately we won everything because Dan and Blair were flawless and will always have a special place in our hearts.

So…for this upcoming 2013 I have only one wish for you all…before you watch any new shows make sure to check if Savage and Schwartz are attached and if they are…STAY AWAY!!!!!

No…I’m not in denial, I know that they are over but I still don’t feel bad - why?

1. We all know that the finale, hell all of season six and the finale of season 5, was complete and utter bullshit.

2. No matter how much Chuckistans/Derena hags want to deny it, their couples suck. They were not epic or any other such nonsense.

3. It was painfully obvious that alot of critics responded, in a positive way, to the Dair storyline because it did what neither Chair or the promise of Derena…again, had been able to do - breathe new life into the show, even people who apparently didn’t like Dan (Jacob Clifton from TWoP). If they could see it, just like we could then I guess we can’t ALL be morons like the Chuckistans like to think.

4. It was also obvious that Penn and Leighton LOVED working together and thought that the storyline had merit. I mean if the people who had played the characters for five years thought it was a good storyline then obviously it can’t be that we were just delusional.

5. Based on some of the comments from the other uninvolved actors (“CeCe” and “Eric”) after the finale had eneded…it was also clear that they were painfully aware of the tragically misguided fan pandering that got us Chair and Derena again.

6. The hatred that some of the Chuckistans have for Safran (seriously, like one called him a Humphrey loving jew…or some such nonsense) it’s clear that they were threatened…and apparently still are for some wierd reason.

7. Safran’s interviews and comments actually did happen - we didn’t make them up and it was obvious that the show was going in a different direction…a better direction…and then he left.

8. There are actually alot of them upset about the finale, Derena hags as well because “it was not how it should/could have been” “it felt rushed”, etc, etc, etc. But they would never admit it to a Dair fan…I saw a RIP Gossip Girl thread in TVD forum on TV Fanatic…it’s like they have to hide.

9. Despite the fact that they “won” they (Chair fans, mostly) are still searching for validation from the outside world (anyone not batshit crazy) that their ship was the best ship…and of course are finding none because as previously stated, Chair was quite possibly one of the worst relationships out there for a tween/teen show. It’s like their lives cannot be fully complete or they can’t move on if they don’t convince each and every person they come across that Chair was better than Dair…LOL, good luck with that.

10. Derena fans are not as bad…I haven’t really seen them getting into anything with anyone as much as Chair fans who are still fighting about how great their couple is. They are even attacking anyone who dares to say that the show sucked and the finale was horrible…despite the fact that some of these people were not even shippers…just people who watched the show with no preference.

11. Savage and Schwartz were responsible so…there’s that. Not much more explanation needed. Instead of elevating their show and proving some of the critics wrong…they took the easy way out. There’s a reason why some of the critics have said it was always Chair and Derena…it’s because they were all aware that GG writers lakced imagination, class, logic, common sense and integrity. They knew it would be the same boring predictable shit it always was. I guess like us when the Dair arc happened, they were hoping it would be different…but, alas.

So no…Dair may not have been endgame but did we really want them to be after the atrocity that was season 6? Meh…not so much. I’ll continue to believe that I was watching a different show during the Dair arc…a better show.

Oh, and because I know that Chuckistans and Derena hags will eventually come across this because you all STILL stalk the Dair tag…you “won” because your leader (Savage) has the emotional range of a teaspoon (thanks Hermoine!) and clearly wouldn’t know what a good realtionship is…even when it was on the show she created. Just because a couple end up together, doesn’t mean that it was the right choice…it was simply the easy, lazy choice and everyone without shipper goggles on agrees.

Plus bonus…Chair fans are widely known throughout the GG world as well as outside as some of the most vile, obnoxious, ridiculous and demented shippers so all your campaigns paid off…well done!

So in conclusion, if you’re still reading and silently raging inside ready to strike out with some witty and well thought out words (LOL, I cracked up at that…a Chuckistan/Dereena hag with thought) come at me and every other Dair fan who’ll defend them to the end because you know what…you’re all pathetic and it still sucks to be you!!!!

RANT

1. The show’s over but yet they still seem to be actively trolling every site they can find (TVLine, TVFanatic, TWOP) just so they can talk about how butthurt Dair fans are.

2. They legitimately ignore the fact that the critics completely destroyed the show and get all up in arms when anyone agrees because we’re just butthurt.

3. They think the fact that Chair ended up together means that they “won”…what exactly? Certainly not at life, or logic or common sense.

4. They think Savage and Schwartz are geniuses because they got their endgame even though EVERYONE else acknowledges that they are the worst writers/sowrunners.

5. They refuse to acknolwedge that none of the media agree that Chair is “EPIC” and instead focus on the fact that they were endgame…because that’s all that matters apparently.

6. They whitewash everything that Chuck has done but dare to judge Dan…because now he’s worse than Chuck.

I cold go on and on but basically it boils down to one thing…Chair fans are the absolute fucking worst and I wish I had a list of all of them so that I could block them for all future references in case I happen to end up liking another couple that they don’t.

In all honesty since I joined tumblr I’ve been so pissed off because Chair fans could never just let people enjoy Dair for what it was. From the very beginning they were jumping up and down stamping their petulant little feet yelling and screaming about Chair because that’s all the show was about. It was their way or the highway.

Dair happened, it may not have lasted and it may  not have been endgame…but it happened and no amount of yelling and screaming is gonna change that. Anyone could see from the enormous retconning and the OTT behavior from Blair that the writers were just trying to pretend like it didn’t. Except, you can’t just erase people’s memories can you…unless you’re a Chair shipper in which case it’s possible because you weren’t working with enough brain cells to begin with.

Chair fans should be happy that Dair happened because it brought new life into the series and people who weren’t shippers (critics, etc. just generally people with the capacity to see them without shipper goggles on) liked them.

Personally, as a Dair fan I feel used by the writers. They put Dair together and then they didn’t just break them up…they destroyed them and then treated us like we didn’t even matter even though we were fans of the show…just like everyone else. I think it was deplorable to be honest because they could have ended Dair without being so meanspirited against it.

As for the ratings fiasco…the season finale did get alot of viewers…more  than the entire season and I’m betting it wasn’t because of Chair. Season finales tend to get higher viewers just because it’s the end of the season. What would be a better observation for them is the fact that the ratings sucked ALL season, worse than when Dair was a couple…but of course NOT ONE Chair fan has addressed this…the minute it ticked up a little bit however…it’s all because of Chair.

Newsflash…there were other people in the show besides Chuck and Blair. Dan, Serena, Nate, Rufus, Lily, Eric, Jenny, Georgina, Uncle Jack…hell even Dorota. Hmmm, I wonder if it’s possible that people cold have tuned in to see them…of course not, what was I thinking.

As for winning ALL the polls about Chair v. Dair…LOL. These are the same polls where people can vote several times a day, everyday. All this proves is that Chair fans have way too much time on their hands and spend a tremendous amount of time voting on polls to ensure a favorable result for  ship that they “knew” was engame. Chair fans are so pathetic…they just don’t even know it.

Also, Chair being voted one of the best couples…I think that was done before there was even the hint of Dair so I guess we’ll see if it holds up.

Finally, it was clear that the critics and the actors themselves welcomed Dair. It was a breath of fresh air and the show needed it…I think the writers decided to use it as a hurdle for Chair; however they didn’t count on it being so loved and make no mistake about it…it was loved. It was loved by people I never even knew loved it (Jacob Clifton from TWOP and No White Noise).

But…the Chair fans proved to be very loud and very powerful bullies and of course they remained idiots in arms with their leader…the biggest idiot of all - Stephanie Savage.

Sigh…I’m exahausted really. A part of me wishes that I had never come across the perfection that was Dair because then I wouldn’t have given this show another chance.

Oh well…CHAIR fans suck.

I spent some part of today discussing this wretched show with a friend of mine…we were three glasses of Malbec in so the logic may be a bit fuzzy:

GG in a nutshell:

1. Nate is, was and will alwasy be useless when he focuses on his manwhoring ways. Take the women away and he’s basically the “smartest” of the bunch?

2. Blair and Chuck belong together because they are both horrible people who have never pretended to be good. They are twisted and evil and that’s why they work together.

3. Dan and Serena belong together because they were both “using” each other and both put the other on a pedastal. Dan “used” Serena to get into the UES so that he would fit in (being with the it girl)…he wanted the life and the oppulence but not everything else that came with it. He wanted in but he hated it. The more he got in the more he became like them…he couldn’t remain “good” because “in for a penny, in for a pound”. Serena “used” Dan to prove to herself that she’s a good person. He was so unlike her world that she figured if someone like him could love her then she had really changed. In fact they both put expectations on the other and then they both are disappointed when it doesn’t pan out (Dan’s disappointment came early in season 1 and Serena’s came in season 6). Once Dan has built her up and then broken her down…she’s no longer the golden girl to chase after…she’s just Serena. And once Dan’s revealed himself as GG…he’s no longer the earnest good guy…he was just as bad as they were all along.

The problem with this…it makes you wonder why you even watched the show if the writers’ intention was for you to hate ever single character. The thing is, I don’t think that was their intention. I think they wanted you to care about the characters and empathize/sympathize with them…but really, how can you?

In reality…Chuck and Blair were better as human beings when they were away from each other and so were Dan and Serena.

With Blair, Dan stopped being judgmental and just went with the flow and with Dan Blair was definitely more likeable.

Oh well…

**ETA - Just because Blair and Chuck know that they are horrible people…does that make it right? Does that mean that we should just accept that they have no capacity to change or don’t need to change? Does that make the horrible behavior right?

You think we are pathetic because we can’t over the death of Dair…because it’s just a tv show? Riiiiiiigggghhhhht! I’m sure you all would’ve been fine if Chair hadn’t ended up together.

The really pathetic ones? You people. Why on God’s green earth would y’all be pulling a Humphrey (stalking) our tag now that the show’s over? How sad are you all that you’re not basking in fanfics and making GIFs and just generally enjoying the fact that your ship was endgame?

It’s because your ship sucks ass…and everyone knows it. I haven’t seen ONE legitimate review praising how this show ended…most of them are just praising the fact THAT it ended…LOL! And even the reviews that agree that Chuck and Blair belong together only believe it because it turns out they are the worst fucking people on the planet…and no one else should have to put up with them.

DAIR was the one bright spark on this show. The fact that it made sense and was actually a healthy relationship shoud have been the clue that it wasn’t going to last…afterall, it’s gossip girl…sooner or later they were gonna go back to shit that they had been pedalling before and of course…you Chairtards just ate it up.

I/We (Dair fans) have to a right to be a little bitter. I watched this shitty show for 5 years and I resent the fact that apparently I’m not a TRUE fan because I didn’t jump on the Chair Derena bandwagon or actually just had the good sense to get off when it was clear that those two relationships should end.

I didn’t need Dan and Blair to end up together. What I needed was not to have my intelligence insulted by pretending as though their friendship/relationship never happened and then to be even more abused by the OTT season six crap. Unlike most Chair and Derena fans, I am not Dory (fish in Nemo with short term memory)…I actually remember shit. So thanks…but no thanks to everything after 5x23.

And making it worse is Savage sitting thre like a smug frump with her BS. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced an EP show so much blatant bias and basically tell a large portion of her fandom to fuck off.

When I think of shows like Fringe…where fans actually rallied to get it a final season…where the producers and actors talk excitedly about it and love thier fans and where the network execs actually let it go on for one more season so that they could end it properly…I weep…and I wish I had never started watching GG.

Chair was endgame…one of the endgames of a crappy show at the end of their MOST craptastic season…which EVERYONE agrees with. CONGRATS!

Now GTFO the Dair tag and go forth and enjoy your epic ship and their epic love…let us grieve in peace.
